Raised in Alief, TX, some of his musical influences were DJ Screw, Fat Pat, 2 Pac, Jay-Z and The Notorious BIG. Dat Boy Kahn began is career in the music industry as a marketing and promotions intern with Wreckshopp/Priority Recordings LLC. He then moved on to form the indie super group Da Playa Pawtnaz (K.B. da M.A.K.K. and Sampay the Hustla). Despite early success, the duo, was unable to produce an album; leaving Dat Boy Kahn with some difficult decisions: either give up on his dreams or go all in! He went all in! producing Talent 2K4, Run-N-Shoot, Supply-N-Demand and The People's Choice AllStars. Eventually he would form the consulting firm People's Choice Music & Entertainment PCMUSICENT.com and transform from K.B. da M.A.K.K. to Dat Boy Kahn: Entertainment Mogul. He has since launched the Raw Mix Tape Demo vol. Series, has over a million hits on myspace.com/datboykahn, has major label features with the Ying Yang Twins (courtesy of thenext.tv) and Poe Boy Music Group (courtesy of mycontentmyrules), is a finalist in the 100k Rap Battle with Loud.com (SRC/Universal Recordings) loud.com/datboykahn and has earned a spot as a Source Magazine “Hood Star” (jun/july 09 issue). |
